What to Expect
The biggest question everyone has is, “What’s it going to be like?”
First off, before you even come in, you will get an email from us with your new patient paperwork so you can fill it out at your leisure in the comfort of your own home, it’s never fun to sit in a doctor’s office and spend forever writing things on a little clipboard on your lap. You can even book your first patient exam by clicking the button above or below, which will take you to Jane.App, where you can book all of your future appointments that fit into your schedule!
Next, we’ll start your two-day new patient process that focuses on finding facts and delivering results.
Our whole team is involved in making your new patient process as smooth and comfortable as possible, and the technology we use allows us to build a better plan to get your body on the road to health.
Day 1
This is fact finding day. We gather as much information about you as we can. After being greeted by one of our friendly staff, you will:
Go over your intake paperwork and discuss your health issues
Receive a comprehensive exam
Get a non-invasive scan of your nervous system using state-of-the-art technology that helps us pinpoint the stress in your body
That’s it for you. But we’re just getting started. Dr. Briley will take your information and create a customized care plan just for you.
Day 2
This is the results day. Dr. Briley will:
Review your exam findings and explain what they mean. This is usually really fun to see the data to explain what you’ve been experiencing.
Answer any questions you have about the findings or the plan
ADJUST you!
If there’s anyone other than the patient involved in health care decisions, it’s a great idea to bring them to Day 2 to help make important decisions and get started on the road to health.

Dr. Mackenzie Briley DC, CACCP
Dr. Briley is experienced in caring for children and has dreamed of being a chiropractor since she was in kindergarten.

She’s always had a special interest in pediatric and perinatal chiropractic, especially with the neurodiverse community. While in chiropractic school at LIFE University, she trained under one of the top pediatric chiropractors in the country, Dr. Drew Rubin, during her last year of school. There, she learned specialized chiropractic care with the neurodiverse pediatric population and perinatal chiropractic care, while also taking over 150 hours of seminars specifically to become certified in pediatric care and the Webster Technique with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). Dr Mackenzie is a mom to Kennedy and Dogtor Beau, who you may see hanging out at the office while you're here! It's a family practice at LIFE, and Dr Mackenzie loves being able to have a balanced family and work life. When out of the office, you'll find her spending time with her husband, Adam, Kennedy, and Beau. They love the lakes, the beach, coffee shops and all of the amazing things New Hampshire has to offer. A few questions we get asked a lot!
Can I use my HSA/FSA?
Most often, YES! Although each HSA/FSA can have their own specific rules, we will help you to interpret and use those benefits.
Can I go to an out of network provider, and why would I?
An out of network provider simply means a provider hasn’t signed a contract obliging them to the restrictions of the insurance company. Why this can beneficial to you, is that we are not constrained to the number of visits a year, or the pre-set fee. The fee is often set nation-wide, and is typically higher than our average price per adjustment. We also perform many complimentary procedures in clinic that if contracted, we would be forced to charge you for.
Can I submit my own?
Absolutely! In our clinic, we pass along what we call an “admin/clerical discount”. That means we extend deeper savings to you when we don’t have to submit your claims. If you choose to submit your own, we will print the necessary forms for you to send in.
What payment options do you have?
At our practice, we have different options. We offer pay-per-visit for our practice members that wish to submit to their insurance, and we also offer a 4 visit and 8 visit membership package with a discount for those not submitting to insurance! Feel free to call us to ask about our prices and family membership plans that are very affordable.
While reading my insurance chiropractic benefits, I see the phrase “musculoskeletal” or “neuro-skeletal”. What does that mean?
In our experience, 100% of insurance companies have this clause and it is the #1 restriction on your care. Those are phrases that control the reason you’re able to seek chiropractic care. It means that in order for insurance to consider coverage, there must be a muscle or bone problem causing pain. That means that conditions we often see patients for like: asthma, ADHD, autism, acid reflux, anxiety, ear infections, chronic immune deficiency, sensory processing disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, constipation, and many many others, are not a covered service under your insurance. If you are calling our office for one of these conditions- rest assured- we’re not contracted and are able to provide you services!
